About Kirby's Dream Land Kirby's Dream Land was originally released on the Game Boy in 1992 and was recently rereleased on the 3DSs Virtual Console and as part of Kirby's Dream Collection. The game was in black and white and outside of Japan Kirby's true color of pink had not been revealed, leading to confusion about his color, and so he ended up white on the box for this game.
Another oddity about this game is that it is the only game of the Dream Land series that did not have copy abilities in in it. Instead Kirby could gain temporary power ups such as Candy to make him invincible, Fire Balls that allow him to shoot fire out of his mouth nonstop, and even a microphone that allowed him to destroy all the enemies on screen. (Microphone is technically an ability, as it has appeared in almost every Kirby game sense as an ability!)
Kirby's Dream Land also features much more customization then[sic] the latter games, as it only has 5 levels in the whole game. The different modes make the game replayable and a better challenge to those who wish to seek them. They are hidden until you beat the main mode, at which point the game gives you a button combination to put it. The modes let you do all kinds of cool things, but we won't spoil what they are!
